Friday Fellowship
Friday Fellowship is a diverse ministry where non-Christians and Christians come to explore what it means to live life for Jesus. Our main aim is to be able to achieve this in the lives of students who come to study in our universities, especially since they are away from their family and away from being told that going to church is a must. We encourage personal growth and invite people to participate on a journey to discovering Christ for themselves, at their own pace. This also demonstrates the main vision of the fellowship, which is ultimately to have an attitude that is willing and committed to Jesus, to know Him and to know what it means to serve Him.
As our title suggests, our meetings are every Friday evening with free transport to and from campus and accommodation, and also a free cooked meal that is provided by the church and prepared by students who are willing to serve in this area. We have a time of musical worship followed by a Bible study in cell groups divided into English, Cantonese and Mandarin groups. We encourage all people from different countries and backgrounds to attend and not simply those with a Chinese background, we believe we are a community. Special activities that we usually hold are seasonal such as Christmas productions, Easter prayer event, prayer and praise night, summer picnic, etc. We also have regular sports activities, mainly basketball and football of which we have teams that play with other teams across the UK.
Our main contact points would be our social media pages, on Facebook (SCCC Friday Fellowship) and also our Friday Fellowship Instagram page.
