The birth of Jesus Christ

Matthew (1.18-24)
18This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be with child through the Holy Spirit. 19Because Joseph her husband was a righteous man and did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly.     20But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, "Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins."     22All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: 23"The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel"--which means, "God with us."     24When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife.

Jesus Christ existed before His birth

John (1.1-3)
1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2He was with God in the beginning. 3Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.

Colosians (1.16-17)
16For by him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things were created by him and for him. 17He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

John (8.58)

58"I tell you the truth," Jesus answered, "before Abraham was born, I am!"

Isaiah (7.14)
14 Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.

Jesus Christ tells us who He is

John (6.51)
51I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world."

John (10.9-11)
9I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. He will come in and go out, and find pasture. 10The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. 11"I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.

John (14.6)
6Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

John (8.12)
12When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."

Luke (22.70)

70They all asked, "Are you then the Son of God?" He replied, "You are right in saying I am."

God loves you and offers a wonderful plan for your life

John (3.16)
16"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

John (10.10)
10The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

Why most people cannot experience God's love and abundant life?
Because man is sinful and separated with God

Example of acts of sin:

Galation (5.19-21)
19The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like.

Jesus Christ teaches about sin

Matthew (23.28)
28In the same way, on the outside you appear to people as righteous but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness.

Matthew (15.18-19)
18But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these make a man 'unclean.' 19For out of the heart come evil thoughts, murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander.

John (8.34-36)
34Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. 35Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. 36So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

Purpose of Jesus Christ for coming to earth

1 Timothy (1.15)
15Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners of whom I am the worst.

1 John (4.9)

9This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.

John (3.17)
17For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

Roman (5.8)
8But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

1 Corinthians (15.3-4)
3For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures

Matthew (2.21)
21She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins."

Luke (19.10)
10For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost."

John (14.6)
6Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
Jesus Christ is God's only provision for man's sin. Through Him you can know and experience God's love and plan for your life.

Jesus Christ offers new life

John (3.16)
16"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

John (10.10)
10The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.

John (17.3)
3Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.

2 Corinthians (5.17)
17Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!

Jesus Christ offers living water

John (4.13-14)
13Jesus answered, "Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, 14but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life."

John (7.37-38)
37On the last and greatest day of the Feast, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. 38Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him."

Come to Jesus Christ

Revelation (3.20)
20Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.

Revelation (22.17)
17The Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" And let him who hears say, "Come!" Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life.

2 Corinthians (6.2)
2For he says, "In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you." I tell you, now is the time of God's favor, now is the day of salvation.

2 Peter (3.9)
9The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.

Acts (2.21)
21And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.'

Matthew (11.28-29)
28"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

We must individually receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord;
then we can know and experience God's love and plan for our lives.

John (1.12)
12Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God
